Writing Poetry: Your Sources of Inspiration

In this class, poets of all experience levels will write and workshop ten linked pieces examining a topic of their choice. Required texts: Domestic Work by Natasha Trethewey, Meadowlands by Louise Glück, and The Poet's Companion: A Guide to the Pleasures of Writing Poetry  by Kim Addonizio and Dorianne Laux.

Writing Poetry: From Inspiration to Form

In this class, poets of all experience levels will read combination of creative and critical poetry texts. In response to the readings, students will complete weekly writing assignments and participate in online discussions and revision of class work.  Required texts: The Penguin Anthology of Twentieth-Century American Poetry edited by Rita Dove and A Poetry Handbook by Mary Oliver.
